The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released admit cards for the Class 10 and Class 12 compartment examinations 2026, with papers scheduled for July 28, 2026. If you or your child scored an E1 grade in one or two subjects in the main UP Board result, this is the one exam that decides whether this academic year counts as a pass or a repeat. Who Is Eligible for the 2026 Compartment Exam
UPMSP treats Class 10 and Class 12 differently, and the gap between "eligible" and "not eligible" comes down to grade bands, not just pass/fail. Here's exactly where the line sits:

An E1 grade means you scored 21–32 marks in that subject; E2 means 20 marks or below. How the Exam Is Scored
The compartment exam follows the exact same pattern as the main board exam. Most subjects are split into a 70-mark theory paper and a 30-mark practical or internal assessment component, for 100 marks total. What Happens After the Exam
If you clear the compartment exam, your final marksheet carries a "Pass (Compartment)" notation and you remain fully eligible for college admissions and further studies — it is treated the same as a regular pass for eligibility purposes. There isn't a second compartment attempt available in the same cycle if you don't clear it; the next option would be re-enrolling as a regular student for the following academic session.
